Assessing Range of Motion

If you’ve been experiencing musculoskeletal pain and you live in San Jose, consider visiting a chiropractor. Before developing a pain management plan, the chiropractor may assess your range of motion. Watch this video to see a demonstration of this type of evaluation.

The chiropractor in this video asks his patient to tilt his head as far as he can down toward the chest and then upwards. Then, with the patient’s head returned to a neutral position, the chiropractor asks him to look to his left and then to his right, and then to tilt the head so that the ear travels toward the shoulder. Following this dynamic assessment, the chiropractor palpates the vertebrae in the neck to pinpoint the problem areas.
